Chief of Unit: Dany Al Hamod

Our unit specializes in the management of neonates and pediatrics requiring intensive care from all over Lebanon and the Middle East.

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides care for children from one month till 15 years of age suffering from different metabolic, renal, pulmonary and other diseases using the most advanced equipment in critical care. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers premature baby care, congenital diseases and phototherapy for babies from birth till one month old. NICU delivers care for babies weighing as little as 600 grs.

We provide neonatal and pediatric emergency transportation system to transfer critical neonates and children safely between hospitals or from the hospital to the children’s home within and outside Lebanon to neighboring countries.

The health sector in Lebanon is in deep crisis. Medical coverage has become a commodity that only a small privileged percentage of the Lebanese society can attain; a luxury at times where health should be a basic right.

Saint George Hospital established a Community Health Clinic aimed at providing qualified care to the underprivileged. Its outreach goes beyond the walls of the hospital to encompass education, health awareness and public screening.
