Our division provides both out-patient services for pediatric consultations as well as in-patient specialized pediatric surgeries for children up to 15 years of age. These surgeries include:
- Neonatal surgeries for complex birth defects and malformation
- Pediatric thoracic surgeries including major vessels malformation
- Pediatric urology surgeries are performed in accordance with pediatrics urodynamic studies Surgeries include undescended testicles, hypospadias, bladder exstrophy and neurogenic bladder
- Pediatric Gastrointestinal and hepato-biliary surgeries such as biliary atresia
The Pediatric surgery division is also proud to have centers of excellence that are one of the few in the region. We operate a state-of-the-art specialized center for disease of sexual disorder managing several gender problems including ambiguous genitalia. Moreover, our division manages a pediatric renal transplantation center.
Our division has a five-year residency program for pediatric surgery specialization. In addition to that, articles are regularly published in peer-reviewed journals.
