Gastro-enterology

Acting Chief of Division: Georges Cortas

The Gastroenterology division offers diagnostic and treatment services for diseases of the digestive system, including the stomach, intestines, liver and pancreas.

Care is provided through the outpatient department where a full patient’s history is taken and a physical exam is completed. Laboratory work-up is ordered as needed and further investigation could be requested.

These investigations entail procedures which could be both diagnostic and therapeutic including advanced Endoscopic Ultrasound, gastroscopy, colonoscopy etc…

Moreover, manometry procedure (the test used to measure the pressure inside the lower part of the esophagus) is provided by qualified and expert gastroenterologists. This procedure is one of the very few in the region making our division a referral center.
