Position Highlights

  • • Dual Appointment – Serve as both a faculty member at SGUB and a practicing physician at SGHUMC.
  • • Comprehensive Clinical Engagement – Provide dedicated patient care in an advanced medical setting.
  • • Academic Leadership – Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • • Research & Innovation – Engage in clinical research contributing to medical advancements.
  • • Community Service & Public Health Impact - Participate in outreach initiatives, preventive healthcare programs, and community health awareness efforts to improve public health and access to care.
  • • Multidisciplinary Collaboration – Work with colleagues across various specialties to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • • Engage in the teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows through structured, learner-centered approaches, including Team-Based Learning (TBL) and other innovative training methodologies.
  • • Participate in clinical research and scholarly activities to advance medical knowledge.
  • • Contribute to the development of educational programs and curricula at SGUB.
  • • Engage in community health service programs, related awareness and advocacy, and efforts to enhance healthcare accessibility for the underserved.
  • • Collaborate with other faculty and hospital staff to enhance institutional growth, medical care and public health advocacy, and innovation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • • Medical degree and specialized training from an accredited institution.
  • • Completion of residency is required. Fellowship training is required if applicable to the specialty.
  • • Advanced training qualifications (American Board certification or equivalent).
  • • Clinical, academic, research, and community health experience are assets.
  • • Commitment to medical education, patient-centered care, community service, and public health initiatives.
  • • Licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in Lebanon.
  • • Fluency in both English and Arabic is required; proficiency in French is considered an asset.
