Back Food Services Dietitian

Basic Function: 

Provides work directions and coordinates the activities of employees in assigned area. Coordinates with the Hygiene Controller and the Diet Aides in the hospital kitchen to make sure all their tasks are being accomplished properly. Assists in the standardization process of cooking recipes. Ensures observance of hygienic and sanitation standards and quality control standards in Kitchen for food safety. Includes, inspecting the daily assembly line for portions, quality, quantity, temperature and appearance of food served to patients to meet department standards, monitoring the training of new staff on available standards and inspecting its application and assuring the proper implementation of policies and procedures. Assists in any assigned task based on department needs.

Candidates should meet the following requirements: 

♦ Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nutrition and Dietetics with at least 6 months’ internship in a university hospital
♦ Have passed the colloquium examination and is holder of the License to Practice from the Ministry of Public Health
♦ At least 1-year experience in food safety and quality assurance within a hospital or renowned Food Services Institution
♦ Great attention to detail & conscientiousness in daily work
♦ Good interpersonal & communication skills
♦ Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English and Arabic. Basic knowledge of French
♦ Computer Literate
