Job Summary:

The Operational Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications, while supporting optimal patient care through collaboration with healthcare professionals and adherence to hospital policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

♦ Review and validate medication orders to ensure accuracy, safety, and appropriateness (dose, interactions, allergies, duplications).

♦ Prepare and dispense medications efficiently in accordance with hospital policies.

♦ Monitor medication storage, inventory, expiry dates, and shortages.

♦ Supervise medication repackaging and pharmacy support staff.

♦ Manage narcotics and psychotropic drugs in compliance with regulations.

♦ Communicate with healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues and provide clinical recommendations.

♦ Report adverse drug reactions and medication errors.

♦ Participate in quality improvement activities, audits, and documentation.

 Job Requirements:

♦ B.Sc. in Pharmacy with valid MOPH license and Order of Pharmacists membership

♦ Minimum 1 year hospital experience

♦ Strong communication and organizational skills

♦ High attention to detail and accuracy

♦ Fluency in Arabic and English (French is a plus)

♦ Computer literate
