Back Manager of Advancement Services

The Office of Advancement at the Saint George University of Beirut (SGUB), Saint George Hospital University Medical Center (SGHUMC), and Saint Porphyrios Association (SPA) is currently searching for an Advancement Services Manager to assist in supporting the fundraising and development efforts of our institutions by managing data, technology, and systems to help identify, cultivate, and steward donors effectively.

Job Summary:

The Advancement Services Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the day-to-day operations of the Advancement Services area, including database management and integrity, advancement reporting, gift recording and processing, donor relations, prospect research, list generation, and other related systems. This position reports to the Vice President for Advancement and Business Development (VPABD).


Basic Responsibilities:

♦ Support fund-raising initiatives.
♦ Responsible for the daily data and gift entry, gift receipting and gift acknowledgment processes.
♦ Act as the primary manager of the advancement CRM (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT) for fundraising and prospect management.
♦ Continuously improve the quality of alumnae/i and donor data.
♦ Ensure compliance with fundraising policies, goals and procedures
♦ Produce gift, pledge, and endowment reports and serves as the liaison with Finance for posting of all gifts and pledges and the creation of all new funds.
♦ Supervise and evaluates staff who process gifts and manage data. Responsibilities include report preparation, systems documentation, records maintenance, timeliness and efficiency of gift processing, reconciliation and transfer of funds to appropriate accounts, and the deposit and acknowledgment of gifts.
♦ Select and prepare data for solicitations, pledge reminders; generate and track responses to pledge reminders and solicitations.
♦ Proactively support the stewardship actions of the Advancement staff’s gift portfolios by coordinating stewardship plans for donors and prospects in their respective portfolios, including reporting on endowed scholarships and other endowment income.
♦ Use data analytics to derive insights, track fundraising metrics, and generate reports to support decision-making and strategy development.
♦ Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to stakeholders regarding fundraising progress and outcomes.
♦ Develops and implements stewardship programs to engage and recognize donors, ensuring strong and lasting relationships.
♦ Ensure proper and timely acknowledgment of donor contributions.
♦ Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in fundraising, donor relations, and data management.
♦ Design, write and edit fundraising reports that facilitate the achievement and analysis of all fundraising and constituent relations goals.
♦ Produce targeted mailing lists for communications, solicitations, invitations, and others for Development staff and for other constituents.


Minimum Qualifications:
 

♦ Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience working in Advancement/Development for higher education or a nonprofit; may be substituted with equivalent or similar experience in another relevant work environment. A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
♦ Minimum of 3 years of experience in philanthropic operations, with a focus on gift processing and constituent management. Experience in a mid-size advancement division and working on large giving campaigns is highly desirable.
♦ Knowledge of fundraising and data analysis
♦ Knowledge of and prior use of Blackbaud's Raiser’s Edge (preferred)
♦ A comprehensive understanding of Advancement Services as a functional area, including gift processing, stewardship, donor relations, customer service, prospect management, information security, and data maintenance.
♦ Comprehensive understanding of philanthropic operations and best practices, including CASE standards and applicable IRS regulations for philanthropic giving.
♦ Strong analytical abilities with a data-driven mindset, including the capacity to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and make data-informed decisions.
♦ Superb attention to detail and ability to switch between details and bigger impact of the collective details.
♦ Proficiency in database management, data analysis, and fundraising software.
