Back Delivery Person - Pharmacy

Key Responsibilities:

♦ Delivers medications and pharmaceutical products to nursing units based on patients’ order forms and units request forms. Includes obtaining reception signature of concerned nursing staff and returning signed receipt to pharmacy. Communicates any related discrepancies to Pharmacist in order to take necessary measures
♦ Delivers medications and pharmaceutical products to various diagnostic services and units based on pharmacy request forms. Includes obtaining reception signature of concerned nursing staff and returning signed receipt to pharmacy. Communicates any related discrepancies to Pharmacist in order to take necessary measures
♦ Collects from nursing units “returned” medications and pharmaceutical products that are cancelled from in patients’ orders. Includes checking quantities and condition and ensuring all are in accordance with return requests. Submits related forms to pharmacy clerk for data entry and billing purposes
♦ Assists the Store Clerk in shelving medications and supplies received from suppliers and/or returned from floor/units using established pharmaceutical shelving procedures
♦ Shelves accessories received from the Materials Management Main Store based on instructions received from the Pharmacy Clerk
♦ Assists the Store Clerk in the repackaging of medications when necessary as per the Pharmacy department established Unit dose system

 

Job Requirements: 

♦ Completion of intermediate (9 years) education
♦ No previous experience required. 3 months on-the-job training
♦ Simple knowledge of spoken and written Arabic and English/French
