Key Responsibilities:
Receives specimens from various sources and verifies identification of same. Participates in grossing of simple/small specimens according to instructions of pathologists. Performs tissue processing according to established procedures. Carries out slide preparation. Prepares cytological material for examination. Performs cryostat procedures. Carries out routine and special staining procedures as well as Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence as per established procedures. Identifies problems that may affect diagnosis and results. Implements safety and infection control requirements of position. Assists in teaching and training of medical lab students.
Job Requirements:
♦ Holder of a BS degree in Medical Technology (Laboratory Science)
♦ Good observation skills and attention to details
♦ Good knowledge of written and spoken Arabic, English / French
♦ Computer literate
