Back Healthcare Cost Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Works closely with the CFO and assists with:

♦ Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
♦ Calculate all direct and indirect costs and propose keys to allocate them for each billable product and or service
♦ Prepare periodic cost forecasts (monthly, quarterly and annual)
♦ compare budgeted cost to actual costs and report them monthly
♦ Report all expenses in a way that proposes cost trimming (Cost control)
♦ Identify opportunities for improvement at all levels
♦ Maintain an effective system of internal control to ensure that general ledger accounts are accurately stated
♦ Design and implement a cost accounting system with digital tools to improve cost- efficiency, decision-making, and departmental accountability. (Data analytics.)
♦ Develop KPIs to measure margin improvements
♦ Ensure optimization of pricing standards and pricing models across various specializations and services.
♦ Oversee annual physical inventory and analyze valuation

 

Job Requirements:

♦ BS in, Accounting, Management Information Systems or similar
♦ Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
♦ Thorough knowledge of cost accounting models and will have minimum 5 years’ recent    experience in a cost accounting role
♦ Strong financial analysis skills
♦ Advanced Excel & Data Manipulation Skills with very good presentation skills
♦ Highly motivated self-starter and excellent team player
♦ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
♦ Effective time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines
♦ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
