Back Chief Operating Officer

Saint George Hospital University Medical Center is a leading 385 rooms teaching hospital with a history stretching back to 1878. One of the oldest and most reputable medical institutions in Lebanon, SGHUMC provides you with expert medical and surgical care by an outstanding team of physicians and nurses specialized in all medical and surgical skills.

The Hospital is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to be the right hand of the CEO in leading its operations through the future plans.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience within the industry and abilities to work with the Hospital’s teams of high-performing professionals in an efficient and effective manner; need to be a hardworking and inspiring leader.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

♦ Work closely with the CEO in setting and driving the Hospital’s vision, operational strategy, and workforce needs.

♦ Oversee the Hospital’s operational units in order to enhance their efficiency and elevate patient satisfaction.

♦ Work with the Finance team to monitor costs and pricing of services so as to ensure affordability and sustainability

♦ Work with the IT team to advance automation and digitization

♦ Work with the HR team to ensure effective and appropriate talent acquisition and management

♦ Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement

♦ Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed with the CEO

♦ Directly oversee operations, HR, and accounting, and partner with the CEO on sales management to budget for sufficient investment capital to achieve growth targets over the near term

♦ Manage capital investment and expenses to ensure the Hospital achieves investor targets relative to growth and profitability

♦ Monitor and track performance and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare actionable reports

♦ Maintain and build trusted relationships with other UMCs, donors, ministry officials

 

Job Requirements: 

♦ Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar relevant field.

♦ 8 to 10 years’ experience,  5 of which in executive leadership positions

♦ In-depth knowledge of different business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc..

♦ Advanced analytical skills, good knowledge of data analysis and KPIs

♦ Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

♦ Outstanding organizational skills

♦ Problem-solving mindset
