Key Responsibilities:
♦ Operates console, channels all incoming calls not transferred through the auto attendant system and directs them to the appropriate extensions:
a- Referring to the daily roster of admitted patients and to the Hospital telephone directory
b- Updating of patients lists for directing calls as required
c- Assisting callers by using voice or beeper paging as necessary in accordance with established regulations of the Hospital
♦ Responds to emergency calls (fire, disaster cases, ambulance etc.) following established procedures
♦ Makes appropriate announcements as required such as need for blood donation, end of visiting hours, stat and disaster calls, special activities etc.
♦ Places external telephone calls at the request of technical departments technicians (PPD, MED, HIS, etc.), Emergency Room, Operating Room, Dialysis or other nursing units or similar for urgent cases outside normal working hours
♦ Performs other related duties such as delivering messages to ambulance driver and security personnel, notifying supervisor of emergency request calls, equipment malfunction, implementing rules and regulations during stat or disaster cases, controlling music system, or else as assigned by Manager
Job Requirements:
♦ Completion of secondary (12 years) education
♦ Knowledge of Arabic, English or French
♦ Computer basic knowledge
♦ Pleasant and tactful personality, accommodating with good communication skills
♦ Customer service attitude
♦ Good listener, intuitive and empathetic
