Key Responsibilities:
♦ Performs the Blood Bank and transfusion services Path of Workflow under the Quality Management System Foundation Model on all routine and specialized tests and procedures according to Standard Operating Procedures, including donor management and blood collection, Blood component preparation and validation, managing patients’ blood components requests, sample management, testing, and verification of test results, as well as reporting of critical values
♦ Prepares reagents and ensures daily quality control
♦ Performs daily maintenance of Blood Bank equipment and reports their malfunctioning for repair
♦ Maintains and orders Blood Bank reagents and supplies
♦ Implements policies and procedures complying with clinical standards, JCI standards and all other regulatory and national guidelines while adhering to safety and infection control rules and regulations
♦ Assists in training students and new employees
Job Requirements & skills:
♦ BS degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences
♦ Holding license to practice from the Ministry of Health
♦ 3 months on-the-job training
♦ Attention to detail
♦ Good communication skills
♦ Good command of Arabic, English and/or French
♦ Computer Literate
